How we keep students safe
Construction is rewarding work, and it asks for real discipline. Our approach is plain and consistent: the right gear, the right tools, close supervision, and a controlled space.
Personal protective equipment (PPE)
Students use PPE appropriate to the task — safety glasses, hearing protection, and gloves as needed. We cover why and how before any work begins.
Age-appropriate tools
We use hand tools suited to each student's age and demonstrated ability. Power tools, where used at all, are operated by the instructor. No student work takes place on customer properties.
Close supervision
Small groups mean close supervision. Students learn new skills one-on-one with the instructor before practicing independently.
Controlled workstations
Work happens at set up, controlled workstations in a dedicated warehouse space arranged for classroom instruction and supervised hands-on work — not on an active job site.
Emergency planning
We maintain an emergency plan and clear procedures. Staff know the plan and students are briefed on what to do.
Student conduct
Safe behavior is a condition of participation. Tool use depends on each student's demonstrated safe behavior and individual instruction.
